Mr. Scott Maurer, I met you tonight (June 19, 2019), while you were in DC checking in with American Airlines. As a result of the delayed flight, we started a brief chat and you shared the story of Lorin and the information card. I am now looking at the site and thank you for the brief introduction.

Did not know Lorin or anyone on the plane. Just a citizen from Texas thinking about the 10 year anniversary. Thinking about her family during this time.

To my mentor. Still cannot believe it will have been 10 years this month since we last spoke. Thinking of all the many people who cared about you, and sending my love during this time. Xxx

Thank you for your thoughtful conversation on our flight to Tampa Thursday, and for giving me the address of Lorin's memorial site. Wishing you every success in your fight against a government roll-back of flight safety norms.

I saw the plaque a few weeks back at the Alumni meet. We miss you all the time.
With Love,

This tragedy affects us all, and will always. Thank you for your courageous campaign to raise awareness within the aviation industry. I sincerely hope some good can someday emerge from all this.

I'm a part of the women's basketball team here at Rowan University and I just saw her plaque by the pool and it intrigued me because I have never seen it before. Looking at her story, I feel for the family years later. May she rest in peace!

A memory appeared on Facebook today which said "RIP Lorin." She was my swim coach at Green Valley, and also babysat me when I was younger. I still have swimming medals from Lorin- ones that she won, but wanted to share with the kids she was coaching since we didn't win any of our own. Even though we weren't the fastest swimmers, Lorin still wanted us to believe in our hard work. I still have those medals to this day, and treasure the memories of selflessness they bring back.
