It's a Beautiful Day and It's Great to be Alive
A simple, yet powerful message: one that Lorin lived her life by and one that she would hope to see us all continue exemplify. Lorin Maurer was tragically taken from us on February 12, 2009 when Continental Flight 3407 crashed near Buffalo, New York.

Messages from Lorin's Family
"To our beloved daughter, Lorin. When you were born we knew you were special. During your short thirty years, your eyes saw things we could not see until you opened our eyes to the world. Your smile brought happiness to family, friends, and those you met. Your heart filled us all with a special kind of love. We will miss these gifts. We will miss you. You will remain in our hearts forever. All our love, Mom and Dad."
"We cannot choose our siblings, but if I had the opportunity to do so, there would be no one else I'f rather have as a sister. You were the best role model and older sister anyone could ask for and I wouldn't be the person I am today if you had not helped me get here. Your personality and charisma brought an amazing dynamic to our family and to your friends and I will miss your infectious smile and loving spirit. My love forever, Christopher Maurer"
"Instead of focusing on what is not, I want to cherish and celebrate all the amazing times that we had together - the weekends with our parents, your 30th birthday, our runs, late-night phone calls and hundreds of emails and text messages. You changed my life in teaching me how to love, and your smile and vibrance and passion for life will be a part of me forever. I love you, Kevin Kuwik"
Did You Know?
As a child, the dinner table conversation was dominated by Lorin. When she went away to college, her parents were shocked that her brother, Christopher, actually had things to talk about over dinner
